This response is only for recurve, I am not familiar with the connections.

For recurve bow is the length of the string, the arc length AMO -3 ". So if your bow is 68", then the string must be 65 cm long. Of course, this number is more than could ever form a variety of concepts. So this is the best way to measure the string. This is what I normally use to do when I have new channels. Remove the old string, put it in his bow and make sure that the key to the proper height. Take the string and screws over 10 laps, I use the measure for the new channel.
